Fundraising Ideas

Coach Brad Dalke from the Kamloops Classics Swim Club emailed me to see if we could start sharing some ideas in this area. 

Below are two that they have done in Kamloops:

1. Sand Bag Sales for Vehicles (in the fall). They are distributed to all the gas stations and the gas stations sell them.

2. Manure sales in the spring for peoples gardens.

At Hollyburn one successful idea we have done is:

1. Celebration of Swimming - this is an event that we run in late September every year celebrating the sport and the history on our team. We created a Swim Team Hall of Fame where we induct new members every second year.

The event has a keynote speaker (Leslie Cliff and Brittany Riemer), MC (radio personality Bob Saye), dinner (one year formal, the next wine tasting), a live and silent auction.

I encourage everyone to add to these ideas!!!

Hello Everyone

As you know we have launched our new website to improve the communication between the BCSCA and our membership. I have had a great deal of response from the initial launch from members contributing different ways that we can use this tool.

As part of the website I have created a blog so that there can be an open dialogue and sharing of ideas between our members.
